Join renowned architectural photographer and trainer Martine Hamilton Knight DLitt (hon) for a day learning about the benefits of using good photography to promote your work and practice.
Previously the domain of skilled professionals, the digital revolution has meant that more architects can now get ‘stuck in’ and take competent images of their projects.
In this informative and ‘hands on’ day, Martine explores what is possible with your camera, vital kit you will need to get good shots, and moreover how to best use the skills you have to create them. Know where the limits are with your time and finances, and when it’s still best to call in a professional for certain buildings.
Learn about basic rights with regard to use of images on the web, copyright, protecting your work on line and moreover, getting Google to find your work in the first place!
Finally, there will be an opportunity to tour Birmingham’s new library with your camera and see how a ‘pro’ shoots for RIBA award submissions.
Equipment to bring - camera, lens(es), tripod if you have one, outdoor clothing, notebook and pen.
